Giovannino60 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 How do you proceed to lower this part of the writing that has been reduced? Thanks Quote
SLW210 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Hard to say without having an example drawing. Is this MText? Text? Individual Text Object? My WAG is it is MText and what you want to change is Superscript, if so, open it in the editor and deselect Superscript, but not sure if 2010 AutoCAD has that, but looks like you have a newer version. There are some Strip Text Formatting LISPs around. Quote
Giovannino60 Posted December 11, 2021 Author Posted December 11, 2021 I click on the text and you only see the ruler, I use autocad 2021, what is the command to lower the small text? Thank you Quote
eldon Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 You do not say how much you want to lower it by. But you have to change the Mtext editor to something like Notepad or Wordpad, and then you can see the formatting. Quote
eldon Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 Or you could highlight the relevant text, and then right click to see what options you have available Quote
tombu Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 (edited) Wish it was as simple as it is in Office software? While a lot of lisp has been written towards fixing Mtext like that having a button to "Clear all text formatting" like Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote already have should be included in AutoCAD as well. I was wrong AutoCAD already has this. In the [Text Editor Ribbon Contextual Tab] Formatting Panel's Clear Formatting (drop-down) there are options to remove character formatting for selected characters, paragraph formatting for a selected paragraph, or all formatting from a selected paragraph. https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2022/ENU/?guid=GUID-5B8A1DB8-8AF0-44EC-BA48-A8E06118D3DC Edited December 14, 2021 by tombu I was wrong Quote
SLW210 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 All you have to do, in AutoCAD 2022 at least, not sure about when it began, is right-click the selected text once in the Mtext editor and go down to Remove formatting. As mentioned by eldon, the editor can be changed, but yes, I suppose Clear All Text Formatting like Office might help some Cadders. In the Mtext Text Formatting box, just deselect the X² after highlighting the Superscript. Though since you haven't posted a drawing, we can only guess. These are all assumptions and WAGs. In-Place Text Editor | AutoCAD 2021 | Autodesk Knowledge Network Do you use the ribbon? The editor may be up with the ribbon. Quote For workspaces that display the ribbon (Drafting & Annotation, 3D Basics and 3D Modelling), the text formatting options are displayed in the contextual ribbon. Quote The dialog box will only be displayed in the Classic Workspace. Double-click does not display the text edit dialog box or ribbon tab in AutoCAD | AutoCAD | Autodesk Knowledge Network Quote
