Polly Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Does anybody know how to change plot device globally to have every layout tab has the same plotter? I'm using AutoCAD 2008 with windows 2000xp. I have an existing drawing which has about 10 layout tabs. I need to create PDF file. So far I have to go to each tab and set the plotter to PDF driver. I just need to know how to change the device one time and affect 10 layout tabs when I use Publish command. Thank you in advance for any advice. Quote
Polly Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 I did, but I have to do each tab. I want to eliminate that process. I just want to do once but it affects all of the other tabs. Quote
wannabe Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Well, as mentioned, just create a pagesetup and if the settings work for each tab then why won't publish work? Failing that, why not write a script? Quote
rkent Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 PUBLISH, select all layouts, pick the pagesetup drop down arrow next to one of the layouts, use the override to set all layouts to desired pagesetup. Quote

That's what I was getting at. But maybe he/she wants to have different settings with the same plotter. This is where you will need a pagesetup for each or, as I've read elsewhere, use the sheet set manager. Quote
