3dwannab Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 See the gif of what's happening. I'm using 2020. If I use the boundary command or the hatch command and retain boundaries it gets the inner square as one too. Both exhibit the same problem. I'll post the drawing file for people to test also. tombu Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 (edited) The dialog box displayed in your animation looked odd? Went to quick but I see the option was displayed now in your animation. 2022 Help - Boundary Creation Dialog Box Boundary Set - https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2022/ENU/?guid=GUID-A43E133B-7F18-4F89-B559-EBFC8272595B Defines the set of objects BOUNDARY analyzes when defining a boundary from a specified point. Current Viewport Defines the boundary set from everything in the current viewport extents. Selecting this option discards any current boundary set. New Prompts you to select the objects that define the boundary set. BOUNDARY includes only the objects that can be used to create a region or closed polyline when it constructs the new boundary set. For more information about the options in this dialog box, see the HATCH command. Boundary and Hatch commands have pretty much always worked like this in the 30 years I've been using AutoCAD. 3dwannab Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 For some reason I've never encountered this island thing before. I always thought it only found the first island and not any islands beyond that. Quote
