OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Hi, When i got an task of fixing an drawing that someone else screwed up i sometimes have to fix some leaders. Althoug to align them its an lot of shift-selecting the blue grips. I now click them one for one, but is there an way to select them all at once or the ones you want by making a selection over them ? This question because when you move them left the selection disbands and you got to select them all again if you want to move them agian. Any help on this would be nice . Quote
dbroada Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 QSELECT should give you what you want Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 Not just right..... as far as i see it selects on some specifications. But i want to make the blue grips red all at once (the ones i want, so by own selection) rather than to select them all one by one. If i select the things i want, i cannot "shift-select-draging-a-window-arround-the-blue-grips" 'cause that wil trigger the "deselect" function. Quote
brawleyman Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Sounds like you have the Shift selection mode turned on. Do you have to hold shift to pick multiple objects? If you turn it off, you can click on the objects you want then move them to where they need to be without deselecting them. Is that kind of what you are looking for? Quote

It's essential to hold shift when selecting multiple grips. Quote

Dude, have you tried just using the normal stretch command to stretch the leaders? You can use a fence by pressing F when it asks to select objects. I can't envisage any scenario, leader including or otherwise, that necessitates using the grips and needing to select a lot of them. What function are you using once the grips are selected? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 If you're using 09, I'd recoment replacing them with multileaders (MLEADER). Take the time to set up your MLEADERSTYLE and they are a huge improvement over the old quick leaders (QLEADER) Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Didn't want to start an new topic, but i still haven't got an good answer to my problem. I made an short clip (on some other object though), but its the same idea. http://omega-thunder.nl/Hosting/omega-upload/download.php?file=347boxpick.avi ~4MB I shift-select each individual grips, but it there an easier way? Like selecting them all at once with an boxed selection ? Quote
Zorg Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 You just have to do it that way. Or, you can STRETCH or maybe MSTRETCH There isn't always a shortcut for everyhting in AutoCAD Quote
RevAaron Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 OMEGA-ThundeR - I know your pain! I've run into this plenty of times myself. From this thread, I don't think a lot of folks use hot grips. A shame, because it's really handy. I can't envisage any scenario, leader including or otherwise, that necessitates using the grips and needing to select a lot of them. I can. There are other ways to do it, but I've not found one yet that is faster. STRETCH does about as well, but MSTRETCH feels cumbersome compared to selecting a few hot grips. Quote
