cat3appr Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) hello I have this base chart attached, dummy_base_5000_REV0.dwg which I have scaled at 1:5000, so then 100m in the model spacee should measure 500 units in the layout, is this correct ? However when I measure 100m in the model space i see 100m in the layout as well... so is this correct? In general, at a scale of 1:5000 so 1unit = 1mm, correct ? Also, the text heights are random, is it possible to resize them all in one go? or does it matter if the text is at that random height, or is it better to have it at 11 or 12 ? Also, i downloaded this scalebar for 1:1000 online, SCALEBAR-1000m.dxf , which is short, then I edited another scalebar from a 1:5000 chart, scaling by 0.2 in order to get a 1:1000 scalebar, scalebar 1_1000 personal.dwg did I do this correctly? thank you! BIGAL Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 If you have 3 options plan, long profile and features why are they in paperspace as 1 viewport, you should have 3 and no need for title block in Model space that is what using layouts is for then scales will start to work. Quote
cat3appr Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 thanks Bigal, well i need the charts to be in model space, no viewports, because i need to produce hundreds of them, along a route and i have a software that handles it, but it uses xrefs and cuts, no viewports . anyway, this is not my issue, I was asking about scaling and scale bar Quote
BIGAL Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 (edited) The software I use produces a layout with plan and matching longsection, no probs 100's required. The scale bar would be part of the title block used in making the layouts. The long section can have the horizontal geometry as well. 10km road etc. Edited February 24, 2022 by BIGAL Quote
