neuri Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 So I joined a new company and we're managing 20+ stalls in a food establishment. Thing is, I have 20+ layout tabs for all of them, including elec/plumb so when I update on the main drawing, I don't have to keep copy and pasting the updated layouts to a separate file. I used to do separate files per stall but that was hard to keep track of everything. Anyways, I am using SheetSets now and all my page setups print by Layout. However, when I try to override it by Publishing with Page Setup Override, the prints come out all wacky, none of them are centred, autocad basically printed the bottom left corner of my layout. Any idea how I can fix this? I made sure to use the same printer, the same Layout, the same Plot Style. Quote
BIGAL Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 88 layouts press a menu button, all come out perfect. Various device options in versions of this. Have a look at this, yes it will need to be changed like Title block name, window size and output device name. It was based around a A1 title block outputting a A3 PDF. It has the advantage plot sheets 12-14 as they have been changed. version 2 joins the pdf's back into 1 PDF using Ghostscript. I would also look at the plotting routine by Maratovich has lots of options. plotA3Pdfrange.lspMulti GETVALS.lsp Quote
neuri Posted June 24, 2022 Author Posted June 24, 2022 er.. I have no experience using LISP in autocad. Let me try and figure this out... Quote
BIGAL Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Ok you need to change title block and the plot window in particular. Can you post a dwg with a typical layout, do you want to PDF or a printer. We had multiple versions in a pop menu. Quote
neuri Posted June 28, 2022 Author Posted June 28, 2022 Hi, I can't really post the dwg due to work issues. I think I will be going another route because I realised I have a bigger problem now. Each stall has its own tenant, and they all have their own separate revisions, I am trying to figure out how to keep it all in 1 file or at least keep them linked so I don't have to do that many changes when a wall is moved etc. Quote
BIGAL Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Sounds like using a xref may be the way to go. With all the building details in it. Quote
neuri Posted June 29, 2022 Author Posted June 29, 2022 yup, went with xref. so much easier managing small files with just 3 tabs. not sure why i wanted to make my life so hard. i'll check out your lisps when i have some spare time anyways, might come in useful in the future, thanks! Quote
