stephenward Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 hi, i have one drawing which is acting strangely, when i'm in paper space trying to move viewports around snap won't work - it works on the contents within the viewport but not the viewport frame itself. anyone else seen this? how did you rectify the problem? SEANT Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 A typical case where this happens is when the viewports have been placed on the Defpoints layer (presumably, so they won’t plot) and Layer 0 is either off or frozen. If that is indeed the case, then the most sensible solution, I believe, is to create a dedicated layer for Vports, set to not plot. Quote
stephenward Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 i've tried them on various layers, layers set to print, viewport layers etc but still no luck Quote
SEANT Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Can you post a copy of the file - with everything other than the viewports removed? Quote
stephenward Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 i would if it was my drawing but i'm just working on it and am loath to upload even with stuff deleted. Quote

tkelly Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I am not sure this has anything to do with viewport layers or settings. I would suggest repair or reinstall Autocad software Tom Quote
baltzma Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 i opened layer manager and highlighted all layers, then turned them off and on, then froze and unfroze them. worked for me Quote
wandyhee Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 unfreeze all the layers available (in paper space), and try it again. Quote
