I  keep getting this message while running AutoCAD 2023.

This very same computer has run AC2022 and AC2023 for months. Then suddenly, several instances raised their heads reporting that the shared server cannot be found. These errors are intermittent and if one waits a minute or two, it resolves itself. Now suddenly the error above props up, frequently. Sometimes right after AutoCAD 2023 opens, other times in the middle of working a CAD file. All other APPS on this workstation are fine, no problems. Tis now only AutoCAD showing symptoms. The IT guys swear they didn't change anything. But if I follow it right, our shared server is out there in the cloud. There is no physical sever in this building to track errors to.

BTW, when you click on the OK button in this window, AutoCAD shuts completely down and you're only as good as your latest save with your work.

UPDATE: I found this doing a search for this error message:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/When-you-launch-the-application-a-temporary-files-error-displays.html

Scrolling down on this page I see there is trouble when using PDFIMPORT, which I rely on around here heavily. So add this one to the complaint department files.

Some additional searching seems to have resolved the issue. When I PDFIMPORT a big file, be sure to turn off "Raster Images". That seemed to make lots of trouble and this was a very big PDF file. The thing was yesterday I worked with this same file and it did not give me the error right away. But once it started, it never gave up so I just created a new file and did the PDFIMPORT again.

I stress this because we use PDFIMPORT around here like water. We do not redraw what someone else has already painstakingly done.
