Janeth Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Did anyone have used Advance Steel for lattice truss structures? My requirements for Autodesk Advance Steel: - steel lattice design (e.g. electrical substation support, isolator support, transformer support) - simple connection (e.g. angle to angle bolted connection) - 3D grid (or skeleton) constrained design (i.e. overall dimensions can drive design) - arrayed braces (if possible) -plates connections for 2 o 3 diagonals. -Base plates I Quote
BIGAL Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 (edited) I posted an answer it was here. Radio towers ? Again maybe something exists or else a custom program required. If your in that industry find out what your competitor uses if you have friends in other companies. Pretty sure last comment involved $$$ so poster went away. The lattice is a repeating pattern yes it could be coded, build quantities etc also. Edited July 21, 2022 by BIGAL Quote
BIGAL Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 Concrete tilt panels used all over the world nothing new, lots and lots of stuff out there. Structural timber has always been a specialist engineering task and I had the privilige of working with a company that specialized in timber structures. Laminated joints with nailing, bolted joints, shear connecters and so on. Yes pretty well drawn 1 by one. Some stuff always look back could be automated particularly connections, nails or bolts. BIGAL Posted February 27, 2025 Posted February 27, 2025 Nearly a year old your profile says LT 2005 about the only way to automate stuff is using Excel to make scripts. Have you thought about may Bricscad ? Has full lisp capabilities compared to LT2024 25 which has stuff missing. Quote
