OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Hi, I dunno what i did to do it, but when i open an new drawing and use the 3d orbit command to look arround my 3d objects it shakes like hell and the lines look like a crashed car. When i return to any standard view (top, side, at an angle) the drawing lines still look like crap. I can send image's, but maybe some one allready knows what i mean. Quote
ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Do programs other than AutoCAD also have display related problems? Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Not that i know off. But when i made an new drawing the problem disappeared. A new problem is that sometimes the croshair disappears, and autocad hangs a little once in a while on a command (for about 5-7 seconds). Maybe its the new ATI drivers i installed a few days back. Hedgehog Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 This can happen (in the 3D hidden, conceptual & realistic view modes) when you're model (or any of it's components including xrefs) is too far from 0,0,0 with certain graphics cards even if you have the latest driver installed. Easy to check if this is the case... draw a simple 1m cube on a new drawing sheet at 0,0,0 & check it with an orbit... now move it @500000000,500000000 , zoom extents & see if there's any change... my edges look like dragon's teeth & on complex drawings it shows random objects as transparent. As I say an xref with entities that far away from 0,0 causes this even if they are frozen off. Quote
trubin Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 3D is bit demanding, Knowing what hardware you have would certainly help. Quote

I'll check this when i get back home, but i didn't start at 0,0,0 anyway. The "dragon teeth" sure sounds like what i was looking at in the TS. 3D is bit demanding, Knowing what hardware you have would certainly help. Core i7 920 with 12gb of ram and a 4870 1024mb, so the hardware shouldn't cause any problems on the performance level. Haven't had any problems so far with the pc anyway. Quote
autocad_master20 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 sir, try adjusting the settings of your "3dconfig" and try to see if your video card driver supports all the features needed by autocad 2009.. if not i suggest you update your video card.. nvidia 7500gs 512mb works fine on my computer but why dont you try using nvidia quadro. a video card specially made by nvidia for autocad 2009 godbless Quote
TwingoCrasher Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I have the same problem. Fisrt I was thinking is because my projectr database is on ver 2002. But then I notice that when I'm zoom close to some tutorial it has the same shacks but smaller. I move one surface in coord 0,0,0 and it is rotate smooth without any problem. when I move it again to the begin of my local coordinate system 8590000.00,4590000.00,600.00 the shake problem is immediately turn on. Now I'm trying to set the begin of coordinate system of dwg closer to my projects begin and will write again Quote
