IGS Export as Surfaces or Solid

Hey,

 

Is anyone aware of any settings within ACAD to control how IGS files are exported?

 

I have 3DSOLID geometry that I am exporting, 1 IGS file per 3DSOLID

 

ACAD2014 will export IGS files as surfaces (meaning, when I import the IGS back into ACAD... it comes in as surfaces)

ACAD2015 will export IGS files as 3DSOLID (when I import back into ACAD, it comes in as 3DSOLID)

 

We're setting up a tube laser at work and are finding that the IGS files from ACAD2014 work better.  So I am wondering... is there a way to get ACAD2015 to export IGS as surfaces?

 

I know I can convert to surface before export - just wondering if there is another way to control it
