PJ01 Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 In the middle of drawing I have accidentally changed how my dimensions work. In the attached drawing, I cannot do the horizontal dimension for the lenght of the top line. Can anyone please advise where I have gone wrong and how to fix it? Tray end #2 -Dec 2022.dwg Quote
PJ01 Posted December 28, 2022 Author Posted December 28, 2022 (edited) Thanks for your quick response, BIGAL. When I go to the start point of the line to be dimensioned, a small rectangular cursor appears, and I an requested to select the object to be dimensioned. That is not what I normally have. I usually am able to start at a point and drag a dimension line to the finish point. Another problem with the "object ' method, is that I cannot measure between the lines. eg how to dimension the vertical distance between the curves shown on the drawing Edited December 28, 2022 by PJ01 Quote
BIGAL Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 The square box is maybe your osnap End so just pick 2 points then drag away for label. Same DIM VER are you using dim align ? That is a 2 point pick. Anyway I think vertical dim is wrong the arc does not touch the white line I extended. Dim = 28.5 not 28.6 Quote
PJ01 Posted December 28, 2022 Author Posted December 28, 2022 Thanks BIGAL, you have solved it. Many thanks. I used F3 to switch OSNAP on, and all is back to my usual method of dimensioning. Will sort out the arc not touching the line, thanks for that too Quote
BIGAL Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Those little gaps can be hard to find sometimes. Glad to help. Quote
