What things do you recommend doing to try to fix load times and/or locate a corrupt dwg?

I have tried the following but am still experiencing super long load times (a typ dwg takes about 1~2 minutes to open):

  • Audit
  • Purdge All
  • -Purdge reapps
  • Removing all x-refs and surfaces
  • Removed surfaces from x-ref dwgs
  • Restarting CAD and Computer
  • Tried loading on different computer

Is there any command/tools to discover what is wrong with this dwg? I am running out of ideas.

Thanks!

The simplest how much ram do you have ? If it is less than 16GB then buy some more.

Are you using a solid state hard drive or an old spinner type?

System requirements for Autodesk Civil 3D - Pick the version you're using to see how yours measures up.

Focus on Recommended instead of Minimum required to be able to open a drawing.

Windows enhances memory handling for opening files with every version, it's best to use the newest version your version of AutoCAD software will run on which in your case is Windows 10 (64 bit).

My computer is fine. Uncorrupt dwgs load just fine. I might try wblock and if that doesnt work, I guess I will try removing stuff till load times improve (so I can determine what is the cause of the problem).
