azzro10 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 For some reason even after setting "filedia" to dialog boxes r still being displayed. Any help? Quote
CarlB Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 If you don't want dialog boxes displayed, also set CMDDIA to 0. This still won't suppress all DB's. So why do you want to do this? Quote

CarlB Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 If dialog box comes up for commands on the command line it most likely will in your program also. Many commands can be preceded with a hyphen for a command-line version (e.g. "-layer".) CMDDIA variable also affects the "plot" dialog box. Quote
Rankine16 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I am having a problem when FILEDIA is set to 1 and the pulldown still won't work. When I click on FILE then OPEN, the toolbars ghost out and nothing happens. At the command line it says "_open" but does nothing. The same thing happens when I click on the open button. I have changed both FILEDIA and CMDDIA to and from 0 to 1, closing AutoCAD and completely rebooting and still nothing. With FILEDIA set to 0 I can type the file name, but set to 1 won't launch the dialog box. Quote
rkmcswain Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 For some reason even after setting "filedia" to dialog boxes r still being displayed. Any help? Filedia only control FILE DIAlog boxes. CMDDIA controls some others, especially MAP dialogs, but not many others. Still other dialog boxes can be suppressed by running the command line version of the command which is done by prefixing the command with a hyphen (-). CMDDIA variable also affects the "plot" dialog box. It used to, way back when, but not anymore. Quote
