ColinPearson Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Hey y'all... I'm stumped on this one. I have this block that I've recreated a simplified version here to illustrate my issue. I would like to be able to Rotate everything via any one of the Grips at the center of the 2 yellow and/or 1 blue circles . Those 3 circles are not collinear. I also need to be able to Rotate the purple rectangle with respect to the green rectangle - and I need to carry the two yellow circles along with that Rotation. So far I can do all of this, but here's the rub: After rotating the purple rectangle, I still would like the Grips in the middle of the yellow circles to Rotate everything about the initial origin point. I know that Rotating the purple/yellow changes the radius from the origin to wherever those yellow circles wind up though, so the thing acts predictably not-like-I-want-it. The purple rectangle is supposed to be continuously variable, or I would just make a couple Viz States at a few intermediate angles, and give each their own Rotation Parameters/Rotate Actions. I also though about having the Grips kina-close to the yellow circle but not worrying too much if they got off a bit, but the whole point of this would be to use the Grips to line the whole Block up based on particulars of the job. Any thoughts? THANK YOU!! test block.dwg Quote
