Voganus Testaur Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Hi ! Is there any possible way to freeze a layer in only some different layouts ? For example if Ive got 10 layouts and I will draw something in model, it will appear on all the 10 layouts. But if i need it in only layouts #5,6,7 how can i freeze it automatically in numbers #1,2,3,4,8,9,10 without having to go manually at each one and freeze it. Quote
CyberAngel Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 There is probably a lisp routine for that. Other than that, you can freeze/thaw a layer in your original layout and copy that layout--which is hard to do if you've already set up all your layouts. You can create a layer that's frozen by default, then thaw it in the layouts where you need it, which again is hard to do if you've already set everything up. I've just tried this. Select a group of layouts. Make sure each one is set to model space. Change your layer settings. The changes should show up in all the selected layouts. I did not know you could do that. Quote
BIGAL Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 The command is VPLAYER that your looking for, or if in a layout then Layer and scroll over to the right and you will see a Vplayer column that you can turn off/on layers. You need some form of turn off choose layouts by number and then what layers to modify. As you suggested a 4,5,6, then layer1,layer3,layer4. The main issue is choosing layers in some easy way as you can have like 100+ layers. Quote
