Table Cell Selection Issue (2 point pick)

This happens quite often when picking in cells within a table (Autocad 2024)

Multiple drawings, different days, very inconsistent.

 

I pick a point such as indicated

 

 

and this is the result

 

 

Closer examination is when I pick the point, the cursor jumps to the next cell (above or below) not consistent

and there is a rectangular drag icon that looks like a dotted rectangle with a dot on the left side.

 

 

A single pick becomes a two point pick and the second point is automatically snapped to (appears o be at a set distance)

Pick a point and while the mouse button is still down the cursor jumps to the second point.

 

when your snap is on and you drag a window, the way your cursor acts, it's just like that.

(Snap is not on)

 

Pick outside of the table and that does not happen.

It's only inside table cells.
