longcrier Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hello, I have AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009. I am using matchlines and irregularly shaped, rotated, and scaled viewports for large sets of plans. I work with streams, but functionally it's really similar to roadway design. It takes several sheets to show the entire stream etc. I want all my families (geometry, grading, landscape, etc.) to have the same viewports. I usually just set up one of them get it the way I want it then do a save as and manage the layers for that family... This time they are throwing me for a loop by adding 300 more feet of stream, that's about 6 pages. I have the layers in all my drawings managed properly and don't want to do it again... so how do I get the layouts from one drawing to another without doing a saveas? I am trying to avoid having to set up the new sheets 30 different times and remanaging the layers for the different families. Thanks, LC Quote
chulse Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Use Design Center and drag the layouts to the new DWG... Quote
longcrier Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 YES, I knew there had to be an easy way to do it. Thanks a bunch. Quote
