IronHorse Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I made a simple doorblade, I want to put wood decal on It. I make one work plane little above the door, import my picture, constrain It. But when I do Decal It places the pattern on wrong side of the door. On the backside. I have tried different options in Decal command but without no sucess. Why can´t I choose the front plane closest to picture? Quote
Magnum Z Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Why not just change the material/color display to wood? Or is this decal a specific shape? Quote
IronHorse Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Why not just change the material/color display to wood? Or is this decal a specific shape? It´s a special wood, I have tried for one hour, but decal get stitched to wrong side whatever I do...? Quote
Magnum Z Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I don't know the specifics but something tells me you should flip the normal direction on your work plane. Right click on the plane to do this. I don't know why I say that, but it might work. If not, we can always try something else. Quote
IronHorse Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 I managed at last, the sketch must be placed directly on the surface to work. But I will try your example also.... Quote
Magnum Z Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Well if you got it to work that's good. My idea was just a hunch. Quote
JD Mather Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 ... the sketch must be placed directly on the surface to work. No, you had something else going on. Zip and attach the file here. Quote
