asorg Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Hey, My company want to see the options on Cadworx and the most difficult thing is to find what is not good about software. We currently working with plant 3d about 3 years and we at the point that there is lots of problems and things that not cover in plant 3d like: Generic spools (i know in Cadworx there is assembly) production ISO problems production Ortho really slow and not giving automatic dimensions. Add phase and welds as custom. modeling and connection in modeling having problems(bends are really difficult to connect and time consuming). lots of errors on drawings and data loss. We are modeling in LOD400 What i need: Someone that have done this transition and have some good information about the transition and what are the problems with Cadworx. Some dis or good about the software. any information in needed! thanks, Gal. Quote

We are modeling in LOD400 What i need: Someone that has done this transition and has some good information about the transition and what are the problems with Cadworx—kind of like how you’d rely on a WOPET automatic pet feeder for consistency—some dis or good about the software. any information in needed! thanks, Gal. Hey, The transition to Cadworx from Plant 3D can be challenging, especially when it comes to issues like spooling, production ISOs, and ortho drawings. You might find the generic spools in Cadworx more complex than the ones in Plant 3D, and generating production ISOs can be slow, without automatic dimensioning. Connecting bends and other complex parts can be time-consuming and tricky, which adds to the difficulty. Additionally, there can be glitches leading to errors and data loss, especially with larger models. Customizing welds and phases is not as intuitive as you'd expect, and it can take extra time to get everything right. While Cadworx excels in piping and equipment modeling, it comes with a steep learning curve. Proper training and testing are essential to minimize these challenges. Quote
