Hi

I've recently got 2024 full version update and I'm trying to set things up how I had them in my previous version.

When I select items, I click and then pull the selection window across what I want to select and from memory the crosshair would disappear and I'd just have the selection pick box as my cursor.  Am I remembering this correctly and if so, how to I temporarily turn off the crosshair when selecting?

Also, when I'm mirroring, it shows an orange dashed 'mirror' line - where do I customise this again?

Thanks!

Not sure what you're referring to re: the selection box. Could it have something to do with dynamic input? Or a setting in the Selection tab of the Options window? More information, or a picture, would help.

I'll assume you want to turn off the preview when you mirror. Use the DRAGMODE command or set the system command of the same name. OFF (value 0) means you never see the preview; ON (value 1) means you only see the preview after typing "drag"; and Auto (value 2) means you see the preview whenever you drag objects.

When you're starting out with a new version, it's a good idea to go through the Customization options on your status bar. Make sure the options are set correctly, and look up the ones you're not familiar with. Turn them on or off to suit the way you work.
