cosmoscorbin Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I have a CAD project I am working on in which I have a large number of rectangular shapes, (hundreds of them) which need to be lined up along a curve. I have been copying the blocks and rotating them manuely along the curve, but the spacing and manuel adjustment of the blocks looks sloppy. Is there anyway to have AutoCad automatically align these blocks to a curve path? I know this sounds complicated, but any help would be greatly appreciated! - Cosmos Quote
Strix Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 it's not that complicated really  have you explored DIVIDE and/or ARRAY? Quote
cosmoscorbin Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 No I have not! I'll check it out... Thanks for the tip... Quote
ReMark Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Wouldn't that be DIVIDE or MEASURE? I'm not sure ARRAY would be applicable in this instance. Quote
Strix Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Wouldn't that be DIVIDE or MEASURE? I'm not sure ARRAY would be applicable in this instance.I decided not to ask questions about the curve until he reported back - a polar array should be able to cope with a simple arc anything more complex and I'd have expected a 'return' post Quote
Lee Mac Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 If you have no luck with that, maybe this may help Quote
