Auto duplicating items along a curve

Recommended Posts

I have a CAD project I am working on in which I have a large number of rectangular shapes, (hundreds of them) which need to be lined up along a curve. I have been copying the blocks and rotating them manuely along the curve, but the spacing and manuel adjustment of the blocks looks sloppy. Is there anyway to have AutoCad automatically align these blocks to a curve path? I know this sounds complicated, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

it's not that complicated really

have you explored DIVIDE and/or ARRAY?

No I have not! I'll check it out... Thanks for the tip...

Wouldn't that be DIVIDE or MEASURE? I'm not sure ARRAY would be applicable in this instance.

I decided not to ask questions about the curve until he reported back - a polar array should be able to cope with a simple arc

anything more complex and I'd have expected a 'return' post :)
