b.muqlueen Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 i have drawing done in 1/8" scale. i would like to scale it to full scale. what do i have to scale it by. what is the formula to do this also? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 There are eight 1/8" segments in one inch (obviously). There are twelve 1" segments in a foot, so multiply them together and: 8x12=96 So your scale factor would be 96. Another way to do this is to scale using reference. Select a properly dimensioned area as your reference length (pick the two endpoints), and then enter the length specified by the dimension as your new length. You will still likely need to change the Dim scale linear values of your dimensions to 1 with either of these methods, as they will display 96 times larger than they should. Quote
