Organic Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Whats the difference between these two commands? Quote
hoss Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Is to do with viewports. Regen applies to current viewport and regenall to all viewports. Quote
ReMark Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 BTW, per AutoDesk, you use the REGEN command to regenerate entire drawing data recompute the screen coordinates reindex the drawing database for maximum performance (recreates the display list). Note: This only affects the current viewport. Quote
LifeoRiley0 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I typically use two viewports in model space, one for plan view and one for an iso view for 3D duct and piping drawings. Regen will only regenerate the current viewport and regenall does both (or all). Quote
AlinOz Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 P.S. Here's another clue - when you're in a Layout (what we oldies called paperspace), the Layout is actually a viewport without a boundary. So, the regenall command will also regen the Layout space as well as any Viewports whereas regen may only do the layout if there are no active viewports Quote
