craigie Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Hi Is there a easy way to show numbers or letters with a circle (or any shape) around them other than physically drawing a circle around the text. thanks Quote
lpseifert Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Try Mleader (Mleaderstyle) and select Block as the Mleader Type; there are a number of types you can select from, including Circle. If you don't want the leader, you can turn it off in Properties. Quote
ReMark Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Another way to do it is use a lisp routine like Balloon.lsp available at Cadalyst magazine's CAD Tips. Here's the link: http://cadtips.cadalyst.com/node/tiplisting?keywords=balloon Quote
ReMark Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Taking lpseifert's advice re: MLeader. Hmmm...does Civil 3D work a bit differently than plain AutoCAD? In AC 2009 it's MLeader > Options > Content type > Block. Then the user is prompted to Enter block name. There does not seem to be any "types" listed what-so-ever. Am I doing this wrong? Quote
ReMark Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 lpseifert...my apologies. I was doing it by way of the command line. However, if one uses the MultiLeader Style Manager > Modify, clicks on the Content tab and under MultiLeader type selects Block then under Block Options are the following choices: Detail Callout, Slot, Circle, Box, Hexagon, Triangle and User Block. Thanks for teaching me something new today. It won't be a wasted day after all. Quote
tkelly Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Use attribute with desired shape and text. Then you can use copy and paste. Then replace the attribute text next time. Tom Quote
