adirondackbell Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Hi, I'm running ACAD 2006 & 2007. What is the best way to clip a viewport so that objects in the foreground are not shown? I have piping within a building, and I want to show the back wall with piping. I've tried DVIEW, but it seems awkward to orient the model, SOLVIEW but it has only one color and creates difficult to erase objects and layers, 3DORBIT but it's slow. What do most use for this. Thanks. Quote
Cad64 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Check your Autocad Help files for information on "Clipping Planes". Quote
mojo8997 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 use 3d clip, if you are looking directly at the wall then when you use 3dclip if will show you a top view (in a new window, make it bigger it starts tiny), check out the buttons along the top, you can turn on/off and adjust the clip planes Quote
