Drawing a lake bed in Cad 3D?

To anyone that could help me out,

 

I'm at work and they given me an assignment where I have to draw a lake bed and see how back fill we would need in order bring it all up to a certain elevation. I am given the contour lines with elevations? does any body have any tips on how I could bring these 2d lines into a 3d realm?
