Shiloh Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi everyone, I´m having a problem here that I'm the only one that uses ACAD 2009 in our office because the rest fear change (they're using 2007. Therefore we have some compatibility problems like they can't see the qleader for example. I think it's something to do with proxy graphics but I'm not sure and can't find an update for it in the autodesk site. Any ideas? Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I thought that proxy objects are just representations of objects from AutoCAD add-on applications. Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 By the way, the QLeader command does exist in AutoCAD 2007 and in 2009. Have you tried checking the Leaders settings dialog box? Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 My bad re: Proxy graphics. I should have put my glasses on. To fix the problem in AutoCAD 2007 set PROXYSHOW to 1. Sorry for any confusion. Hope this helps. Quote
Shiloh Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Worked great...thanks. Now another question. They can't modify the text in it because of it being a proxy graphic...is that fixable? Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I really don't think you will be able to edit the text in a proxy graphic. Here's a wild idea. DXF the drawing out (using a different name) then start a new drawing and use DXFIN. What happens to the proxy graphics? Quote
Shiloh Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 Yeah, it seems as though there's no way to modify it. Solution...explode it and make it various entities (leader lines and text apart) It sucks, it´s not elegant, and it's a little more inconvenient to manipulate, but that's the price I pay for working with these people...apart from the tiny salary and long hours . Thanks for the help. Quote
