Siberian Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 This is not a question, just a callout to Autodesk (I assume they look here from time to time) to make up for two things in MEP 2009 that annoy me (and others); A) The collision control. Well this simply doesn't work as many other threads have made quite clear. Now, personally I don't use it that much so I don't know if it was better in 2008 but remember; if it works, don't fix it. B) The "Add pipe" dialog. Why in Gods name should this be any different from the "Add duct" dialog??! The roll-up thing works perfectly, so please use that also for the "Add pipe" dialog. The use of the Properties box for this is terrible... Quote
LifeoRiley0 Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I agree on both counts. Do you use the interference detection or the collision detection? I stopped using the interference detection as it would hang my computer in even a small drawing. Have you ever tried to make an offsetting transition, say a 24x24 to 18x18 with an offset of 8" to the left? Easy to make in the shop, nearly impossible to make with MEP!! By the way, who out there EVER uses 3x3 duct?!? Quote
