Mr_And3rsson Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Hello, i've reaccently started using AutoCad and started to learn how to draw in it. I then got the program for my laptop (version 2009) but when i open a drawing in that program it wont let me selcet individual lines, only all of them Is there a simple setting to change this? will be really greatful for a fast answer ^^ Quote
Mr_And3rsson Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 yeah but how do i change it so i can only select one of the lines? Quote
skipsophrenic Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 If you want to select it for editing/deleting, click on the block and then use the BEDIT command, after you've made the changes yo need, close the Block Editor, When it prompts to save changes click yes, and then run the ATTSYNC on it command afterwards If you've editted any attributes. Peter K Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Most likely they are all part of a block in which case you can use the commands EXPLODE : to open up the block (only use it when you are certain that it's okay to do it) or BEDIT : to be able to edit the entities within the block The other possibility is that they are grouped in which case you just have to use the QKUNGROUP command or ungrouping them by changing the PICKSTYLE value Quote
Mr_And3rsson Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 oohh finally, thats how easay it can be lol... thx alot for your help Quote
GE13579 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 You might also want to try REFEDIT which will usually be assigned to double clicking the block... that way you can modify it with reference to the rest of the drawing. Be aware that if you change one block then all blocks with the same name will also change In this case, and if you want to change only one instance, you can change the name of the block when you REFCLOSE. wandyhee Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 click to those object (i'm sure it's i block, then pres 'X' and enter Quote
wandyhee Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 but before you do that, it's always better to create a copy of that drawing, incase you messing with it, you still have a backup Quote
GE13579 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 click to those object (i'm sure it's i block, then pres 'X' and enter This will explode the block, as mentioned by Peter K- only do so if you don't need to keep it as a block! Quote
chelsea1307 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 if when you explode the block it disapears, the blocks original set layer is frozen or turned off (happens alot when layer is 0 and you have 0 frozen.) just thaw all and change it to the appropriate layer and re freeze as needed. Quote
