NBC
Does making the polyline have zero width affect it ?
Delta-Sword
No it doesnt, i need the line to have a constant width of 0.75 and not have a line weight. the polyline is also in a block so i cant edit jus the polyline
NBC
If a block contains a polyline that has a width assigned to it, then when the block is scaled, the width of the polyline will be scaled with it. How you get around this problem, would be to make the polyline be zero width, and put the polyline onto a layer where the lineweight of the layer is assigned the desired 'width' of the polyline. Delta-Sword
Here is the file. the small pump is the block and the bigger one is the scaled block as you see the line has got bigger. is there any way to change that ?? thanks PUMP BLOCK.dwg
Delta-Sword
thanks a lot that helped but........ when i zoom in and out the lineweight changes with the zoom level. as in the line is thin when you zoom in and thick when you zoom out. is there any way around this. if not no worries. an thanks again for your help
msarqui
So, 4 years after the last post, I am searching for the same solution... Have you find something to not change the width of the polyline in a dinamyc block?
