Partial nested selection for REFEDIT has disabled the DRAWORDER !?!

I use Ref edit alot (inplace block editor). But suddenly I can not use DRAW ORDER commands anymore! Everytime I click send forward, send backwords I get:

Partial nested selection for REFEDIT has disabled the DRAWORDER

Why all of the sudden ? I was able to do it before... How to fix it?

It says "Nested", so do you have a block inside a block, or an xref inside an xref?

Block inside a block, but that is not the case...

This REFEDITOR behaves very strange sometimes if you manipulate layers while in editor. If i thaw, unlock and show all layers it works again... Its pain in the ass. Can anyone explain to me what can and what I must not do in REFEDITOR (i edit mainly blocks not xrefs) to avoid such stupid errors ? If you know any issue that should strickly be awoid please let it out.

Is A 2009 any better in this view?

You may want to try using BEDIT rather than REFEDIT whenever possible. I only Refedit blocks or xrefs when I absolutely have to, and only for minor tweaks. Any major editing of xrefs is always done in the actual drawing itself, and any major block work is done in the Block Editor.
