Resize the Layer Property Manager box

Recommended Posts

I would like to resize, and retain the new size, for the Layer Property Manager box and can't seem to make it retain the size I select. I have used the "size" command when right clicking the top bar of the Layer Properties Box but it still requires resizing every time so that I can see the viewport settings. Any suggestions?

I don't think there's any need to use the right click- size route, you can just grab the side/ bottom/ corner to resize the window...

If you "Escape" or "Cancel" the box then the size will reset but if you "OK" the box then it should keep the last size you had it?

You would think that would work. I have resized the box, clicked "OK" and it does not retain the size. I have even gone to File>Exit to see if that would retain the box size; nope. :glare: Thought there might be a trick or command. May be an XP issue perhaps.

I have 2009 on XP- previously had 2006 also on XP and it works ok for me so I don't think that'd be the problem, unless it's something to do with a system variable?

Okay that's good to know. I'll have to chat with my IT guy (son-in-law ) to see if he knows about variables that might cause/prevent resizing issues. I'll search the issue in MS forum and see what come up also.

Thank you anyway. Working in a one-man office kind of limits my resources when issues occur, if you know what I mean. CADTutor forums are amazing, and I thank all you CAD gurus for taking a moment to help others, very nice thing to do. I only hope that one day I can answer a question instead of asking them all the time.

You're welcome! Although I wouldn't claim to be anywhere near Guru status- but you will learn a lot just reading all the threads as they come in- that's what I did and soon overtook a lot of guys in our office! :)
