steepcreeker Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 When resizing viewports in paper space sometimes, maybe all the time, the viewport is jerky when resizing. It is not smooth graphically and I have to move mouse, wait, see change, move mouse, wait, see change. Its not super slow but just enough to be irratating. Any ideas why? Is it a graphics card issue? I am using 2009 LT and running a Dell Precision work station with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 285. thanks for any help Quote
happyunited Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I'm gonna bump this old one. I am on AutoCAD 2009 and this happens all the time. Every drawing every viewport. Has anyone got a fix for this? Cheers Quote
rkent Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Set the layermanager palette off. You can use LAYERDLGMODE set to 0 to use the old dialog instead of the modeless style which as you have found out slows the program down. Quote

I had the layers open on my second screen 100% of the time and now it's perfect. It this a known bug with 2009? Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. Quote

Much appreciated. It is a known bug, I am not sure it is fixed as I just don't use the modeless layer palette. Quote
