Siberian Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 In my country it's customary to use a comma as a decimal separator instead of a period. Is it possible to have AutoCAD accept inputs like 1,2 instead of 1.2 ? Quote
Ritch7 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 i know you can do it for dimensions http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=854 Quote
stevsmith Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Ive just noticed you are using MEP. In autocad you can select comma under dimension styles. It may be the same in MEP. Dont shhot me down if it aint. Quote
Siberian Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 That works for dimensions, but still you can't use a comma in places like this apparently Quote
GE13579 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 All I can suggest is that you swap the comma and period keys on the keyboard... No seriously I have no idea but would imagine it can't be done due to the cartesian coordinate system requiring a period between coordinates- if you wanted to draw a line 2.5 long you would end up inputting 2,5 which would result in a line 2units in the x axis and 5 units in the y axis. I'm sure someone will be along soon enough correct me though... Quote
dbroada Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 this has been asked several times, without a usable answer. Just about all Europe uses the comma and the UK is meant to - but not when using AutoCAD. Quote
