Lucid Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I'm looking for a good place to download 2D sink symbols, plan and elevation. Would like a wide selection but mostly just sinks you would find in an office building (bathrooms, office kitchen) and hospitals. Google wasn't much help. Quote
PS_Port Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 This is a sink manufacturer's site, all the sinks listed are available to download in .dxf format. http://www.clark.com.au/ClarkListing.htm Quote
CADgirl Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 There are a few simple ones in the Design Center in AutoCAD. If you open it up and go to the DC Online tab then go to 2D Architectural it's under plumbing fixtures. But I think that the link from PS_Port is better. Quote
CADmandoDesign Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I found plenty of sink CAD blocks at http://www.cadblocksfree.com. There's plenty of other furniture blocks on there too. I'm looking for a good place to download 2D sink symbols, plan and elevation. ReMark Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) The only way you would have found plenty of CAD sink blocks is if you hadn't gone to cadblocksfree unless of course you were willing to buy one of the collections. Anyone looking for free 2D and/or 3D blocks of sinks, either for a kitchen or a bathroom, is best advised to visit the website of the manufacturer first. Example: Go to the American Standard website and click on the link: "For the Pros" which takes you to the ProSite. Look to the left. Click on Tech Document Search. A pop-up window will appear where you'll see two options. The first is "Download all 2D symbols (.DWG)" and the second is "Download all 3D symbols (.DWG and .DXF)". The zip file for just the 2D symbols is 16.7MB. The zip file for the 3D symbols is 9.2MB. Do you have any idea how many symbols might be included in a 16.7MB file? Answer: way more than you will find at cadblocksfree. And this is just one manufacturer's website. Don't pay for content when manufacturer's are giving it away for free. ReMark Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Eat your heart out cadblocks free. Take a look at what Kohler has to offer in the way of CAD symbols for their products. http://www.us.kohler.com/us/CAD-&-Cutout-Symbols/content/CNT300084.htm?_requestid=2593966 Download all 3D symbols and be prepared to download a 249MB file. All 2D symbols are contained in a 26.7MB file. Either way, you are going to get way more than your money's worth. Wait! What am I saying? They're FREE! Elkay offers what appears to be 23 pages of 2D symbols (top, front and side views) but you'll have to look up a catalog number first to know which block or blocks you need to download. Not the best system but once again all the symbols are free. http://www.elkayusa.com/cps/rde/xchg/elkay/hs.xsl/elkay-search-results.aspx?npchunk=1&dosearch=1 Edited June 7, 2012 by ReMark Quote
