pnikkosis Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Well another lame question from me, but I can't find how to substract 2 solid forms... I mean, let's say I have a cube that is 20x20x20, and I place another solid inside of it that is 10x10x20 right in the middle (so If I substract the second solid from the first i'll get a cube with a square hole in the middle). I know I was able to do this in autocad, and I found how to create a solid from 2 separate solids that make contact. I even found how to slice a solid that's crossed by a plane. But no option to substract the space where 2 solids make contact. Quote
pnikkosis Posted April 3, 2009 Author Posted April 3, 2009 No problem, what I did was start Autocad 2009, check what console command correspond to substraction and I tiped it in Architecture. The command is SUBTRACT, although it only works with 3D solids, not mass elements Quote
Noahma Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 with mass elements it would be under one of your right click menus. under Boolean Quote
pnikkosis Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 Did you hack my pc or something? I'm positive that the boolean option was not there, I checked everything!, can't understand how I missed it. Anyway, I tried and works like a charm, thanks! Quote
