Tetsu32 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 K i have autocad 2010 on my computer and did a drawing for a project. The thing is my school only has autocad 2006. I sent my drawing to a friend with autocad 2006 and he couldn't open it. It did work vice versa (him sending to me). Anyways to make 2010 drawings work on 2006? Quote
Tetsu32 Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 THANK YOU LOL i cant believe the answer was so simple. im so stupid Quote
Tankman Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I use '07 but save as 2000 *.dwg. This is by request from my end-users. Same goes for posting, *.dwg version 2000. Save as *.dwg ACAD 2000 and most will not have any problem opening your drawing and/or editing your drawing. Quote
fusyarul Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 how about if i receive file auto cad 2010 from third party, but my auto cad is 2008.. either way to ask third party to save in format 2004, have another way or not, like download plug-in auto cad converter. thanks Quote

Jack_O'neill Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 If you go to the Autodesk website and find Trueview, it's a free download that will up or down convert dwg files from 2011 to R12 and anything in between. Quote
