Whenever I make a leader, it always puts a little 90 degree angle to the leader line at the very end (the text end). Is there anyway I can make it to where I have just a straight leader running into my text or other "thing what I am using". I know this has probably been addressed before, but I don't know what to look for under a search for this kind of problem. Thanks for any help you can give.

I feel you on this one. The only way around it I have found is to double back on the first stretch to the midpoint.

Hey Jadeous, thanks for the reply. Could you explain it a little more on what you do. Do you mean that you set your first point and second point, then double back to your first point and set a third point? Thanks again.

I just tested another theory. When you set the point of origin (the arrowhead), go ahead and select your next point (the end you want closest to your text), then hit escape. This will leave you with a leader with two points, begining and end.

When I do that it just cancels the whole leader, so I must be doing it wrong. Here is what I did: I set my point for the first point (arrow side). I then set my second point (I am using a leader to go to a revision cloud) so I set my second point on the revision cloud, hit escape and it just cancels it out. Is that what you did.

Ok. I see the problem. You are using the LEADER command. Use the QLEADER command instead and this will give you the control you need.

Hey it works. I have been needing this for a long time. I appreciate your help. Now I just have to find out what the difference between leader and qleader.

If you type leader or lead and then pick your first point then your second point next you should see [Annotattion/Format/Undo] F for Format you can pick spline or straight or arrow.

I have tried doing that and it still puts that little 90 degree angle on it. You would think that is what they mean when they say straight, but I don't think it is.

Better try out the mleader. its a more advanced version of the qleader w/c allows you to edit any or all properties of hoe you use leader lines.

PS try out MLS(Multileader style) to edit its properties

Just type "le" and you can then cancel it out after drawing you're leader and it won't remove the leader, nor will it have that 90d line coming off of it.

Hi,

I think this is the setings for your leader.

Try Going to leader settings:- LE(Enter)S(Enter)

In the window that you see under the Leader Line & Arrow tab,

Just make the Angle Constraints to Any Angles for both first and second segments. And say OK.

This may solve your problem.
