SR211 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 I have more than 300 rooms, and I want to Hatch each room in a different color. However, it is taking too much time. Please help me find an easier way Quote
Steven P Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Are you able to post a sample of the drawing, how it is made up - many ways to do the same thing, and the most efficient way depends on how it is drawn. Do you have any preferences for colours, how would the program decide what colour to use? The very simplest would be to put this in a loop: (command "-hatch" pause "") where the user clicks in each room in turn to hatch it (so long as the boundary is complete, it will select islands in the room which might not be required). Before each selection in the loop you can set the current colour or use (entlast) to select the hatch after it is created to adjust its settings (the 2nd option is my preference so I can forget about returning settings to as they were at the end of the LISP or on error, nothing is changed). Second question is this a one off exercise or will you be repeating the exercise many times? The reason I ask, simple but slower is often better than complicated and quicker but needs hours of testing. First off though, a sample drawing Quote
