Hardney Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 When I open a file I always get this Error Message, see attachment, which tells me that the .mms files that have been created previously are missing from its original location so it can't retrieve the surfaces which were included in the drawing previously. The .mms files have been deleted so I can't put them back in the destination requested. The surfaces that were filed in the .mms files are surfaces coming from corridors. I have tried to recreate the surface but unfortunately the problem hasn't been resolved, I still receive the «External Surface File Not Found» Error Message box. Now, the problems above, I can live with them and recreate the surfaces and everything from scratch, this I don't mind. But what's bugging me is the Error Message Box that's becoming more like a spam than an alert message to me. So, is there a way to just delete the link between my dwg and the .mms files created? Because every time I open a file in which the associated with the .mms file is in xref, I always get that Error Message Box. Quote
rustysilo Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 .mms? What sort of file is that in the first place? Quote
Jam3s Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Hi Rusty, .mms is an external file that is automatically created when the surface contains 2 million points or more. Hardney, have you installed the latest SP? This might help. Quote
