I am new to AutoCad and I am going in many different directions to try and export information from drawings. The information is cable and conduit schedules and it contains lists of the names of every conduit and cable on the project along with length, destination, type, etc. The objective is to get this information into Excel format to be able to manipulate it. Any help?

Try using the Data Extraction (_dataextraction) routine. This has some pretty wild and wonderful options that it can get from drawing objects these days. It also allows you to output Excel, Text (TXT and CSV versions available) and MS Access files containing your data

Play with that one to see if that's what you're searching for. It may take a couple of goes, but I'm sure you'll figure it out in the Long run...
