Image Won't Display in Viewport

It appears in model space, but when viewed through a viewport in paperspace I just see the outline of the image.

 

I've searched this forum and I've checked all the fundamentals like layering, vp freeze, maxactvp.

 

Anyone able to provide a resolution, please?

Activate the viewport and then select the image by clicking on the visible outline. Now right click and select Properties. In the "Misc" section, there is an option to "Show Image". Make sure it says "Yes".
