humaironline Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Sir, I made a 3d fan in cad 2007. now i want to rotate it in 360 deg continueosly but in 2 axis. when i move it by mouse. it rotate in abnormal manner. pls help me to rotate it in proper manner using orbit option as actual fan move. Quote
ReMark Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Use constrained orbit. From AutoCAD Help file: "If you drag the cursor horizontally, the camera moves parallel to the XY plane of the world coordinate system (WCS)." Quote
fuccaro Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 You can write a short Lisp or script file for animating it. Quote
humaironline Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 pls help to write lsp ...i m dummy... Quote
fuccaro Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Ok, here you are: Convert to Block the parts you wish to rotate. The insert point must be placed on the rotation axis. Run this simple lisp -see in the FAQ how to do that. (defun c:fan() (setq f (car (entsel "\npick the block"))) (setq fl (entget f) i 0) (repeat 100 (entmod (subst (cons 50 (setq i (+ i 10))) (assoc 50 fl) fl)) (command "delay" 100) (entupd f) ) ) Quote
humaironline Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 dear fuccaro how to apply these lsp codes.. i save this lsp codes in notepad. then save as cfan.lsp. then load it by tools>load application then typed cfan but...it says unknown command. pls help.. Quote
Cad64 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 then typed cfan but...it says unknown command. You need to type FAN not CFAN. Quote
humaironline Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 command is not working....properly... Quote
Cad64 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I just realized you saved the code as CFAN.lsp. You will need to change the first line of code to read (defun c:cfan() Or, rename the file to FAN.lsp and then reload it. Quote
humaironline Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 I applied same setting but... pls check the error....showing at bottom of screen..... Quote
fuccaro Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I use AutoCAD 2006 and after running that Lisp the command line shows the same as in your case. It is not a bug report, it is just the way the program works. Does it not rotate the block on the screen? Quote
