Use the Design Center (ctrl-2) to bring in the things you need. Navigate to the dwg you need items or properties from and simply click and drag or right-click > add to dwg to get it all in. Very simple to do.

and please do not post the same q over different forums (i noticed you have the same question in the AutoCAD General area)...it gets messy especially when answers get spread between the two...

I AM SORRY BOUT THAT I get carried away as with regard to design ctr I can grab individual line styles such as (ex. sewer ) and drag and drop how about the line library from another dwg.

I have the same problem

For instance I have set the line weights wrong in a series of about 30-40 files and I need to update them from one master file

When I double click on the layer style I wish to import I just get this message

Command:

Layer(s) added. Duplicate definitions will be ignored

and colour/line weights do not get updated.

Is there any other solution or something I'm not doing correctly?
