EIA Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 (edited) Everytime I do Ctrl + 1 to open the properties window everything I have selected gets deselected and it's getting pretty annoying. Any idea why this could be happening? Edit: I have just noticed that when I double-click a block it shows the "Edit block definition" window instead of entering the block in edit mode. And whenever I double-click a textM, it executes the command EDITTXTM, so I have to give it a third click. I have no idea what is going on, I have some LISP routines but they haven't been causing any trouble in months. Edited March 31, 2025 by EIA Quote
SLW210 Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 You can try QAFLAGS = 0, DBLCLKEDIT = 1, PICKFIRST = 1, PICKADD = 2 You might just Reset AutoCAD to defaults Is this on specific drawings or all of them? Quote
EIA Posted April 1, 2025 Author Posted April 1, 2025 It happened everywhere, I ended up restoring to default settings which solved it (didn't try the commands cause I did the reset before reading this) Thanks for answering though, I will take this into account if it ever happens again Quote
EleenD03 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Resetting to default definitely works as a 'nuclear' option, but for anyone else finding this thread who doesn't want to lose their UI setup, definitely check PICKFIRST and PICKADD first. If those variables get flipped to 0 by a glitch or a rogue LISP routine, it causes exactly this behavior where the Properties palette won't 'see' your selection. 1 Quote
SLW210 Posted 26 minutes ago Posted 26 minutes ago You should use the System Variable Monitor (SYSVARMONITOR), I also set my SYSVAR in my ACADDOC.lsp. You can export then import your settings and profiles before a Reset to Defaults, some things should be in your templates anyway, that would stay the same. So no, it is not a 'nuclear' option, that would be a complete removal and reinstall, and even then, you can restore a profile, settings, etc. and have proper templates. Quote
