ORTHO mode for non-horizontal and non-vertical segments during "pline" command

Hi everyone
I'm wondering if there's a way to set the ORTHO mode to the previous segment (regardless of its orientation) while drawing an optimized polyline.

That is, when ORTHO mode is enabled, each new segment on either side of the previous segment will always be perpendicular to it.
So, is there a way to make this happen for segments that are neither vertical nor horizontal?

Have you explored Polar Tracking and set up to Relative to last segment?

 

Once you find out about it, you will wonder how you managed without it!
