deano33 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 AutoCAD LT upgrade to 2026 migration tool custom cuix file refuses to load? Quote
SLW210 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Did you open a support ticket with Autodesk? My AutoCAD Map 3D 2026, wouldn't open and had lots of issues, IT worked half a day yesterday, finally just installed 2025 Map 3D, no issues with it, nor any other 2026 so far. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Did you try "menuload" its the manual "load a menu", if your menu is already loaded Unload it first. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 23 Posted May 23 You probably already read this, but ... AutoCAD LT 2026 Help | To Migrate Custom Settings From Previous Releases | Autodesk Autodesk support got right back to me yesterday, fixed Map 3D 2026 in about 1 hour. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 23 Posted May 23 I made a setup lisp that we used to update a new install of CAD, it sets support paths, dwt's & more, loads custom menu's and working on adding "start up suite". The only question after running was to use each user's personal script that had their preferred toolbars and so on. Quote

deano33 Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 Thanks everyone I had a lot of problems probably because I was upgrading from LT 2012 to 2026. I ended up with a clean reset install and manually configuring everything from scratch and then uploading my custom cuix file which worked. Had lot of problems with certain drawings not loading and AutoCAD crashing. This was down to graphics hardware acceleration that doesnt' work on my machine in LT 2012 or 2026. Only problem is I forgot about this and didn't realise the migration tool ignores this setting and auto enables it regardless. This cost me a lot of down time trying to pinpoint the problem. To be honest the migration tool doesn't work verry well at all and I wont even consider using it in the future as it cost me a lot of wasted time. Now I got it all running as it should apart from a few new niggles I tried to export my current settings for a backup which creates an empty zip file in one millisecond and I can only assume this feature does not work either. Ensure you back everything up before you consider using this feature. It definitely doesn't work on my system. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Change your user description to LT 2026. You can now take advantage of lisp so you should add supports paths to where you save all your lisp's and dcl's. To get around the problem of install 2027 that is why i made an install lisp, sets everything up. Quote
