SLW210 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 It's an image, you'll need something like Illustrator/Inkscape to make an outline. In AutoCAD you'll need to use Spline and/or Pline and trace around it. Quote
Discus84 Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 (edited) Thanks. This picture is just for reference. The source is a .dwg file, but since it's a single item I think there must be a way to capture the perimeter only- maybe with lisp? Lu Edited May 30 by Discus84 Quote
BIGAL Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Draw a big rectang around it then use BPOLY pick a point between the rectang and the object. It should create boundary. Quote

SLW210 Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Somewhere here there is a Superboundary routine by @Debalance IIRC. Quote

It should create boundary. This works, the object is too complicated and the program crashes. After flattening (source is a 3d dwg) the boundary was outlined, but not selectable in autocad 12 (selectable in autocad clone) . I expected the boundary to be easily selectable but for some reason it isn't. Thanks, Lu Quote
SLW210 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 AutoCAD 12? Which AutoCAD clone? Can you post an actual .dwg? Quote
