3D software.

Sometimes there are details that have to be in 3d. 

What (besides Sketchup/Rhino) do you use for visualization?

I'm working mostly interiors, interior details.

Consider 3ds Max from Autodesk or Blender (free).  Here's a tutorial for rendering and interior with Blender.  It should give you a feel for what can be done.
